What do you think of Mooro's assist for Hurst to get his hat-trick in the 66 final?

Persdonally, I rate it as one of teh greatest moments in sporting history.

*sniffs*

You?

Thought SB's comments were very interesting re Carroll's fitness.

Do believe Super Slav will get the best out of him.

Fuck off P son you are endorsing that we start pumping it up to the Durham Bumper... well FUCK YOU... if God wanted us to play football in the clouds he would have made a multi purpose concrete bowl up there for us to play in... this stuff * pulls up a tuft of grass * is what we play on... I'd rather we move Carroll on... but no other fuckers want him or can afford his wages

I LOVE Andy Carroll's attitude and can't wait for him to get back in the groove.
Please stay fit sir.

It's only terrible if that is your stock movement, Sold0 son. As you well know. Or, if you didn't, you should stick to your dancing horses.

Be great if we are 2 0 up later and BIG ANDREW comes on and scores to make it 3.
Up the Bobby Moore.

Re: Andy Carroll's return
My favourite goal of his though was the over-the-shoulder volley Vs WBA - superb technique, that...

Still, there are some clueless cunts out there who think he's pony and just a battering-ram...

I just wish he could stay fit and injury-free as he's a fine centre-forward...

Re: Andy Carroll's return
Goose, as Noble was quick enough to keep up for the second goal, I think it's fair to say that carroll, who would have been positioned initially I a position ahead of noble, would have been able to too!

You describe him like he's a modern incarnation of duncan ferguson. He's not.

A long ball up to Carroll to chest down for Payet would be a LIVELY way to play.

Sounds fucking terrible P son.... I thought we got away with all that archaric bollocks from the past couple of seasons...

Re: Andy Carroll's return

so Gignac scored lots of headers from Payet crosses, but none of the goals up at anfield were headers.
the first two (and possibly the 3rd) were quick breaks.
do you think AC would have been quick enough to keep up with those breaks?? i dont.

he serves a purpose - but not as a lone striker.

i-Ron 1:41 Mon Sep 14
Re: Andy Carroll's return
Payet assisted Gignac 6 times. 4 of them were headers.

Well I've not seen anyone say he should go straight back into the first 11

So I reckon you're making it up

Re: Andy Carroll's return
He is definitely better on the floor than people give him credit for, his sheer presence worries even good centre halves, freeing up space for sakho/payet etc.
Like others have said, its a guessing game as to how Bilic will utilise him, but i guarantee Bilic will be happier to have him in his squad than not.

How ?

and stop fishing, read through the thread and actually take in the opinion of others for once. Im not going to sit there and quote post after post just to please your simple mind.

Personally I am going on what the player himself has said.

The FACT is plenty of Payet's assists where balls into the box for Gignac to head.

If you want to carry on having a guess at what will happen, knock yourself out.

Better than Nobby NOLAN lumbering around in the middle, anyway.

Grumpster 1:29 Mon Sep 14
Re: Andy Carroll's return
I know he's been injury prone, but people really don't give Carroll enough credit for his actual ability.

He's definitely not just a target man as his goal at Swansea last season showed.

Be great having him back competing.

dicksie3 1:28 Mon Sep 14
Re: Andy Carroll's return
He has got good technique; just look at his goal against Swansea as one example... Fantastic bit of footwork and skill to beat his man followed by a tremendous shot into the top corner...

However, you just can't rely on him staying injury-free... Such a shame...

whufcroe 1:28 Mon Sep 14
Re: Andy Carroll's return
Did you not notice TWO of the goals at Anfield come from balls into the box?

How will Carroll ever cope?

goose 1:27 Mon Sep 14
Re: Andy Carroll's return
whufcroe 1:21 Mon Sep 14

so you are picking me up on assuming we play the same way BFS v Bilic............. and yet you are assuming AC and Gignac will play the same way??

Gignac is much more mobile than AC.
